About the summer 2016 reading campaign

Since it can be a challenge to motivate kids to read during the summer months, we would like to help by inviting you to team up with myON for our 2016 Summer Reading Campaign! Together we can keep kids engaged to maintain their academic edge and avoid the summer slide.

This year, our Summer Reading Campaign runs from May 23 to September 2, with exciting prizes for the top readers in each category: PreK-Grade 5 (Elementary) and Grades 6 and up (Middle School/High School).

Summer campaign goals

Every year we have 3 goals for our summer reading campaign and this year is no exception.

  1. Encourage the love of reading for life-long learning!
  2. Put thousands of books in the hands of all students so they can read anytime, anyplace.
  3. Reduce the summer slide effect – reading at least 5 books is equivalent to participating in a structured reading campaign.

Exciting prizes for top readers

  • Top Reader will win an iPad Mini!
  • Readers in 2nd through 5th place will each win a $100 Gift Card!

Grade 6 and Above (Middle and High School)
